Vivian is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Vivian was an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Harris County, Texas from 1992 to 1995. Vivian’s private practice was established in Houston in March of 1995, where she represents citizens accused of crimes in both state and federal courts.
Vivian King graduated cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1992. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she worked as an internal auditor and operations specialist for the former Texas Commerce Bancshares, retiring as a Vice President in 1989 to attend law school. She was an Assistant D.A. in Houston until 1995. She has been named Lawyer of the Year by the Harris County Defense Lawyers and was given the Unsung Hero Award in 2007.
